Closet Refresh : How to Make the Most of Your Closet

It’s Time for a Closet Refresh

Whether we like enjoy or not, we enter our bedroom closet day in & day out. Getting ready for the day requires us to face it. This closet may be your worst nightmare today, but we want to share some ways you can befriend this sometimes challenging area of your home

Rather than a closet "clean up", we recommend a complete refresh. A new start and a new system that works for YOU. We love thinking through and talking through the options to making your closet work for you.

Even though many of us are still wearing lots (almost exclusively) lounge wear and comfy clothes around the house - our closets still deserve some attention.

Practical Ways to Make the Most of your Closet

Organization Methods: Color, Season, or Occasion

Setting Boundaries

Lastly, if you share a closet or have limited space, the key is zones. You may have read books or heard Brene Brown talk about boundaries in relationships... and we believe that the key to a healthy & functional relationship between you and your loved ones, siblings or roommates that you share a closet with is boundaries. Draw the lines (literally or figuratively) and stick to it. Creating zones eliminates confusion and chaos. Everything has a place. This means if an area is overflowing, it will require some thoughtful purging. Create realistic expectations. Your closet will not be perfectly tidy every day because life happens. We get busy, rushed and scattered and our closets reflect that. Thus, the joy of a closet door.
