Our Favorite Calendars

Welcome to a brand New Year!

One of our favorite tools to stay organized throughout the year is a calendar. We all have appointments, projects, events, tasks, and more to stay on top of. What is the best tool for you? Some of us love a paper planner, while others thrive with their phone calendar. Figure out what works for you & stick to it! It doesn’t need to be perfect or Pinterest worthy, it just needs to make sense to you and bring you clarity. You may want to consider implementing a shared family calendar this year. Here are some ideas to get you started!

PRINTED

Paper calendars can be an easy & inexpensive way to brighten up a spot in the kitchen or office.  Options vary from monthly, weekly, and daily views. They give a quick visual for the month or year on your walls or desk. Traditional flip calendars, tea towels or creative letterpress calendars are just a few of the ways to keep your days straight & make your space look great!

PROS

You can view your week or month without technology. There are so many beautiful designs to add some art to your space. If they’re in a prime location, everyone in your home can see it.

CONS

It is not as easily editable or shareable. If it’s not with you, you may have a hard time remembering what is happening next. It can be difficult to fit all the details or events you need to into a small space.

DIGITAL

Many of us are (willingly or unwillingly) using multiple apps and programs for various schedules across multiple devices. While it is not ideal to be overly attached to our devices, they do offer a lot of functionality when it comes to keeping our schedules up to date and accessible to the right people at anytime. Options vary from specific apps on your phone to a digital display calendar for your home.

PROS

Share real time updates to all event attendees when details like location or meeting time change. Custom alerts for events can help you stay on top of your schedule.

CONS

It’s a dance to learn to utilize our devices instead of letting them rule our lives. Be cautious and to take breaks from your phone or ipad or laptop when you can. It can get tricky to keep your digital schedule organized and synced across lots of apps and programs.
