On February 24 2014,
two women with an idea got a business license and Help You Dwell was created. Caroline & Taryn met for coffee to talk about an idea they had and the rest is history.
Through the years, the company has grown from our 2 co-founders to a team of over 24 women who organize, pack and unpack, and help our clients through estate transitions. We’ve learned so much as we’ve met clients with unique needs and situations. There has not been a job too large or too small. We’ve navigated tricky family dynamics, all sorts of relationships, and dealt with all kinds of properties (homes, farms, condos, storage units, barns, apartments, offices, vacation rentals, and more). We’ve listened to stories and honored memories that have been shared with us. We’ve cheered clients on as they made changes and purged things that held them down for a long time. We’ve cried tears of joy and despair as we’ve entered into sacred spaces that life has thrown at our clients. We’ve brought new ideas and creativity to spaces where our people felt stuck. We’ve implemented new systems of order and beauty to areas that easily cause overwhelm. We’ve hauled off no longer needed items to local charities, thrift stores, and organizations serving folks in need.
There’s no doubt in our mind that the next 8 years hold much more of the beauty, meaning, hard work, and transformation we’ve been honored to be a part of for the last 8 years. We are eager to meet the clients, hear the stories, and reclaim homes across Knoxville, east Tennessee, and beyond!
